Vol.02 "Where there is delicious chocolate, people gather"
When I was in junior high school, my father, who was working alone in Kansai, always brought back "matcha-flavored raw chocolate" as a souvenir. My mother and my three sisters loved it, and we would devour a whole box around the table in no time (laughs). Every time he asked, "What souvenir do you want?", we would say, "The usual," and I remember how much we looked forward to the weekends when my father would come home.
Along with my mother's home cooking, this chocolate is a special treat for me, etched as a "family taste."
I currently live with my husband and daughter.
More than 20 years have passed since then, and the reason I remembered this now is a chocolate I found at an event last year.
The moment I put it in my mouth, I was thrilled, thinking, "I've found delicious chocolate again!"
It has a familiar look, and its 10 flavors are full of humor. As expected, I fell in love with the matcha flavor and started keeping it at home "all the time."
Many children the same age as my daughter live in our cooperative house, so they all get along well and visit each other's homes. Like sisters, they always play and have snacks together. When they come to our house, I always serve chocolate. On this day, too, the colorful chocolate wrappers and girl talk on the hammock were lively (laughs).
Mini cup sets for the children at the Halloween party in autumn.
Colorful chocolates for the family to enjoy at Christmas.
Raw chocolate for my husband on Valentine's Day. (And secretly some matcha flavor for myself!)
At a recent piano recital, my daughter, who was nervous before her important performance, popped a strawberry-flavored chocolate into her mouth.

Then and now, many memories are born around delicious chocolate.
If someone asked me now, "What's your family's flavor?", I think every family member would recall the Chocolat da Familia chocolates with their own memories.
I intend to let them accompany our family through all our moments to come.
