In 2017, the chocolate shop
"Chocolat de Familia" began.

"Chocolat de Familia" means
"family chocolate."
We named it that because
we wanted it to be a presence that is always there
within reach, as a matter of course,
in the everyday lives spent with family and loved ones.

A piece of chocolate eaten with children as a 3 o'clock snack,
a piece that helps Mom relax and take a breath
after the dishes are done at night,
Dad having a drink while snacking on chocolate
on a Saturday evening,
taking a bite while chatting with friends at home.

We create our chocolates with the hope that such everyday moments
can become a little more special with Chocolat de Familia's chocolates.

Helping us bring this vision to life is
the long-established chocolatier "France-ya Seika,"
with 70 years of history in Kyoto.
I grew up in a home where this chocolate, built by my grandfather in one generation,
was always present.
Though not flashy, it's honestly made,
melts in your mouth without lingering too much,
and even now as an adult, it's a gentle flavor that I distinctly remember.
The skill and experience of the artisan chocolatier brought it to life.

Life changes as I got married and my family grew.
However, we want Chocolat de Familia's chocolates
to always be the perfect fit for that day and that moment.
With that in mind, we deliver chocolates every day.
